The History Group gives a talk at True’s Yard.
On Thursday 23 March June and Irene gave a talk on ‘Discovering the history of Tilney All Saints and its 12th century church’ in the Research Centre at True’s Yard. This was the last in their Spring series of talks, which are proving very popular. There will be a further eight talks in the Autumn.
Thirty-seven attended our Powerpoint Presentation of some of our discoveries. As our history covers nearly 900 years, and every discovery we have made has its own story, it was quite a challenge, but the participants seemed to enjoy our selection, and Dr Paul Richards was very kind about our Group in his introduction and closing remarks.
Irene and I especially enjoyed the delicious sandwiches and drinks served in the café.
